1. FAN SYSTEM
Bitmain’s mining containers Antbox do not come equipped with fans, so mining farms operating in hot regions often face issues with high temperatures. We have assisted many Antbox users in modifying their containers by adding fans.
The principle of negative pressure fans: This relies on the pressure difference in the air, where air flows from high pressure to low pressure areas. It allows fresh, cool air from the external environment to enter the facility and expel the hot air generated inside.
In our Ark2000 and Ark4000 series mining containers, we have installed 18 high-speed negative pressure fans on the left side of the container, in front of the area where the mining machines generate heat. The total air volume can reach 301,344 CFM. These fans actively expel the hot and polluted air produced by the mining machines out of the container, allowing a continuous influx of fresh, cool air from outside. This effectively controls the temperature inside the container, ensuring that the mining machines operate at an optimal temperature.”
2. WATER CURTAIN(EVAPORATIVE COOLER PADS) SYSTEM
Some mining farms are located in extremely hot regions where outdoor temperatures can reach up to 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit). Even with the installation of a fan system, the air entering the equipment can still be hot, making it ineffective at cooling the mining machines. This is why it’s necessary to have a cooling water curtain system, and typically, the water curtain system and the fan system work together.
The principle behind the water curtain system is the natural physical phenomenon of ‘water evaporating and absorbing heat.’ Water flows from top to bottom under the influence of gravity and forms a water film on the corrugated fiber surface of the wet curtain. When rapidly moving air passes through the wet curtain, the water in the film absorbs heat from the air and evaporates, taking away a significant amount of heat. This process lowers the temperature of the air passing through the wet curtain, effectively achieving cooling.
Negative pressure fans extract the cold air that has been cooled by the water curtain, ensuring a continuous flow of cold air into the mining container to dissipate heat from the mining equipment. Additionally, the properties of the water curtain system help block most of the dust from entering the container, maintaining a clean environment for the mining machines
3. REFLECTIVE INSULATION COATINGS
The entire container is sprayed with reflective heat-insulating coating, which can effectively reflect high radiation and ultraviolet rays from the sun.
4. INSULATION COTTON
Insulation cotton can further reduce the temperature at the top of the mining container when exposed to direct sunlight, providing a more suitable operating temperature for the mining machines inside.
The working principle of insulation cotton: Flame-retardant insulation cotton has a porous and loose structure, allowing it to retain a significant amount of relatively immobile air within its interior. As a result, air within the gaps and pores of flame-retardant insulation cotton can only exchange heat with the surrounding environment in a limited manner, resulting in minimal heat loss.
